Winners of 2009 Scream Awards - Star Trek, Twilight and True Blood

The winners of 2009 Scream Awards have been announced. 2008 vampire drama movie "Twilight" dominates the list of winners with four gongs. The film's leading star, Robert Pattinson, took home Best Male Fantasy Actor award, while his on-screen lover Kristen Stewart grabbed prize for Best Female Fantasy Actor category. Moreover, Taylor Lautner, who has portrayed werewolf Jacob Black on the flick, won Breakout Male Performance award.
During the event, Lautner was on hand to receive the gong for Best Fantasy Movie, which was awarded to the Catherine Hardwicke-directed film. Still at the same event, the 17-year-old hottie also debuted a new clip from the "Twilight" sequel, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", which is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on November 20.
In addition to "Twilight", hit HBO show "True Blood" also won four kudos at the annual awards show, including the gong for Best TV Show category. Then, Anna Paquin, the depicter of Sookie Stackhouse, got Best Female Horror Actor prize, while her off-screen fiance, Stephen Moyer, was honored with Best Male Horror Actor award. Alexander Skarsgard, in the meantime, grabbed kudo in Best Villain category.
Other movies scoring multiple wins on the special night were "Star Trek" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". "Star Trek" collected The Ultimate Scream Movie, Best Science Fiction Movie and Best Director awards, and "Revenge of the Fallen" secured Best Sci-Fi Actress for Megan Fox, Breakout Performance Female for Isabel Lucas and Best Visual Effects.
This gala ceremony of Scream 2009 was taped at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Spike TV will air the two-hour extravaganza on Tuesday, October 27 from 10:00 P.M. ET/PT. Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth, Harrison Ford, Justin Long, Christina Ricci, Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman were among the presenters. William Shatner made a special appearance as well.
