Eva Mendes Smashes Her Lingerie Ad Critics

Eva Mendes has slammed the critics over her Calvin Klein lingerie ad. The actress recently insisted that her raunchy poses with Jamie Dornan is nothing but beautiful advertisement. Pointing fingers on who has the problem with the promo, she said, "It's a religious group that has a problem with the image."

"That's what I love about this country. We can voice our opinion and beliefs like that," Eva furthermore stated. Although keeping an open mind to people's point of view, she still personally thought that those judgment over the ad was mistaken. She went on saying, "But they're wrong. I don't think I'm traumatizing any children. I think it's a really tasteful and beautiful ad."

The picture of Eva cuddling to Jamie in Calvin Klein's new Fall 2009 campaign was displayed on the entire side of a building located on the corner of Houston Street and Lafayette Street in Soho, New York. It soon sparked controversy as some of the residents demanded it to be pulled down. One in particular explained, "Some of us don't want to expose our kids to something like this - it's borderline pornography.".

This wasn't Eva Mendes' first time dealing with similar criticism. Last year, U.S. television network wouldn't air Eva's commercial for the Calvin Klein perfume "Secret Obsession" because it showed the "2 Fast 2 Furious" star writhing topless on a bed. She, at that time, said that Americans are too "prudish."
